LHH is seeking a Global Director of IT on behalf of our client. This role will set and execute the technological vision, ensuring alignment with core business goals in display and fixture development. We are looking for a strategic leader with a passion for technology, industry insight, and the ability to drive innovation and efficiency, focusing on retail-specific technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a global technology strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Advise the executive team on technology trends and opportunities.
- Oversee technology policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing technology team.
- Ensure robust IT infrastructure and services.
- Drive adoption of cutting-edge technologies for retail environments.
- Oversee R&D activities for new technological solutions.
- Maintain strategic partnerships with key technology vendors.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and value.
- Oversee the technology budget and ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Monitor and report on the financial performance of technology initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with laws and industry standards.
- Mitigate technology-related risks with robust security measures.
Top Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
- 15+ years in technology leadership, preferably in retail, manufacturing, or technology sectors.
- 10+ years leading high-performing, cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience with emerging technologies (AI, AR/VR, Unified/Omni Channel Commerce).
- Extensive experience in IT infrastructure, product development, and R&D.
- Strong background in strategic planning and delivering technology solutions in retail.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and BrightSign or Revel CMS is a plus.
